Dodd Naze Playground Improvements

Dodd Naze Playground has been selected by Calderdale Council as one of the play areas to be improved using Playbuilder funding. This funding is mainly for equipment for 8-14 year olds. Dodnaze Community Association have applied for Lottery funding to provide equipment for younger children and we should know by the end of March if this bid has been successful.
The Landscape Architect who is working on the Playbuilder project has come up with a design for the playground, based on comments from the consultation held in the Community Centre before Christmas and the postal consultation. A copy of the design is on display at the Community Centre and anyone is welcome to call in to have a look. If the Lottery bid is not sucessful the design will be modified accordingly.
Whatever happens with the funding, work is planned to start in May so that the new play equipment will be installed in time for the summer holidays.
